Gig: “Liberated Muse” 6/19 @ Potter’s House, Washington DC

Hello.
This page is meant for the musicians playing with me on the Fri. June 19th gig at Potter’s House in DC. There are links to the Potter’s House website and a google map below.
Here are the three scratch tracks for the gig. I’m still working on those lead sheets for you guys.
“Prologue”
Quineice will be either reading from “Liberated Muse”, doing one of her own spoken word pieces or doing some improv on this one, which is very ambient but also grooves when there’s a backbeat. This is meant to be a warmup tune for the band so we can play some long tones, get tuned up and loosened up.
“Butterfly”
Todd, I’d like you to do some fills where the acoustic guitar is doing them now. Between the melody phrases.
“The Artist”
Please check out the solo section. The last solo plays the bridge leading back into verse 3.
Gig Info
- The band will be Gary Young, Todd Marcus, Harry Appelman, Steve Zerlin, Amin Gumbs
- Dress is casual. (I may wear a suit but no one else has to.)
- The band needs to arrive at 6pm to set up (this applies to the bass player, keyboard and drummer but it would be good to have everyone for a sound check if possible).
- My set with the band is scheduled between 9 and 9:30pm (with a healthy safety buffer to account for schedule changes)
- We will break down after the event concludes, which will be around 10pm. Well, the flyer says 10:30pm. I’ll verify. (We may participate in some kind of jam to close things out.)
