Remember this?
http://garyarthuryoung.wordpress.com/2009/02/15/the-state-of-music/
When I pissed off a guy named Bob Merlis?  He commented:

It’s amazing to me that you’ve blogged negatively about Peter Bernstein’s “Monk” album since you admit you haven’t heard it. It’s a brilliant album that has garnered some very positive reviews including one from the New York Times. Peter is part of the Blue [...]

And welcome back to my fictitious radio program, The Future of Music.  It is pledge season here at WSTFY.  We rely on you, the listener, to keep us afloat.  I know times are tough, but whatever you can spare.
Not to toot my own horn, no pun intended, but you won’t hear this caliber of music [...]

1.
I was talking to Leika and I asked her if she remembered her mother.  And then, it dawned on me that she probably has or had a lot of siblings.  I wonder if she remembers all of her brothers and sisters.  And were they all black and brown?   It must have been a handsome little [...]

I was in California last week. It was a good trip but different. With the wedding in Roseville, the Monterey Jazz Festival in, er, Monterey and the flight at SFO, there was a lot more traveling and such than socializing.

UX: Baltimore Jazz Alliance
Category: Web, HTML, Tech
In theory, I started a UI/UX design blog.  I have posted next to nothing.  So whenever I’m feeling design-y it’s going to be here for now.

Yes, I’m jumping on the blog bandwagon.
THE VANISHING BLOG ENTRY
I was going to respond to a blog entry re: the “racism” attributed to Yoshi’s and the Berkeley Jazz Festival (if I have my facts straight, which I may not).  Short version: Yoshi’s released a 10th anniversary CD that didn’t have [...]

upright bass player who is renowned for playing with THE jazz greats –
he was a “great” himself but sidemen tend to not find their way to the
same echelons of fame — and
lynchpin of the Washington, DC area.  Coincidentally, I was
flipping through channels the other day and [...]

Music for Paul

02Aug05

“Speaking of music resonating with your soul, I
think I need to do some serious soul-searching or need serious help
because for the past few months, very few songs, across many genres
have excited me much. I mean, I assume if I heard you playing upright
bass live, I would be experiencing the equivalent of 100s of
simultaneous orgasms, but [...]

So here I am, sitting here on a nice but windy – at least I think it’s nice out.  I haven’t been bold enough to venture beyond the confines of the domicile today.  But I am going to see Gary Bartz at Blues Alley this evening so that’s something.
BLUES ALLEY
Blues Alley is pricey.  For those [...]
