Clinton & Obama; American Terrorism
Category: News and Politics
I should be working out right now. And yet … I am not.
I don’t have anything to say about issues. The media reports over the past few weeks have given absolutely no information regarding the issues and the candidates’ views. Nothing about their plans and proposals or performance.
It’s all, “The gloves are coming off in the….”
The more the campaign goes on and as it turns trivially confrontational, I do NOT like Obama’s demeanor. I’m sure a lot of people do. I don’t. They make me think that he’s just another politician, which of course he is.
He’s no Great Black Hope. He’s a charismatic politician who rose to fame and celebrity for giving a great speech at the Democratic Convention in ’04 and because he’s got a shot at being the first black President of the United States of America.
What’s he going to do when he inherits a badly managed war, inflation and a recession, housing market crisis, terrorism, etc.?
Prove me wrong, sir.
And Hillary? She’s trying to turn up the heat to win Texas and Ohio. What would her cabinet look like? Would it be full of cronies? Would it be progressive? How much will change.
Politicians are good at manufacturing emotion and outrage. They change their personalities according to the polls and their campaign managers like they’re being directed in a movie. In essence, that’s exactly what they’re doing.
STRAIGHT TALK, MY ASS
Meanwhile, McCain is rolling past the mini-scandal. The accusations of a sexual affair with a lobbyist obscured the fact that he’s been in the pockets of lobbyists for years.
Oh crap. I’m going to be late for work.
This isn’t as informative as listening to an interview on The Rachel Maddow Show. It doesn’t go into details about the appearance of favors traded or the Keating 5 incident, but it points out that McCain’s campaign is chock full o’ lobbying power, won’t you?
Is it Karma? We were so worried about being attacked on our Homeland. The fascist propaganda key words creep me out, but anyway…. We were so worried about being attacked at home that we invaded a nation in the Middle East, justifying it with non-sequiturs. Fight them there so we don’t have to fight them here. We don’t want suicide bombers, hijackers and crazed gunmen taking lives and creating havoc here.
If someone posts a non-remixed version I’ll provide a link. We are in the midst of a crisis. Young men walking into institutions of learning and worship and employ, killing often for no discernible reason and then taking their own lives.
We’re worried about suicide bombers when we are plagued with suicide gunners. We don’t know why. In a way, it would be less scary if there was some ideological motiviation. For now, the best we can do is to say, “Oh, they were on anti-depressants. That must be the reason.”
We have become what we fear.
Now I’m really going to be late. Live it like it’s golden, y’all.
